Across America in a day and a half - November issue 2006

Recently the Radar Detector Shop has been involved in sponsoring the Top Gear magazine in their attempt to match or break the record of getting across america in a day and a half as documented in the November issue of the magazine.

The Radar Detector Shop supplied 2 Bel 550 radar detectors to keep the crews informed of potential risk areas.

The attempt was done in August in a Jaguar XKR.

The target was an average of 87mph but due to delays it became a target of 96mph.
The target was 32 hours 57 minutes but time elapsed was 36hours 34 minutes.
